Research and Publications Department


The Research and Publication Department (RPD) is a service unit under the Office of the Vice President for Academics and Research (OVPAR) in-charge of mentoring, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating researches in the college. This unit serves as the quality control and screening body of proposed researches of Tytana faculty, students, administrators, and non-teaching staff.

RPD publishes the official newsletter of Tytana and other special assignments and projects that may be designated by the OVPAR. It also conducts institutional and trendsetting researches that are contributory to policy formulation and institutional advancement.

RPD likewise sets the research thrusts and directions of the College through capability building, mentoring, productivity, dissemination, and utilization. It establishes linkages, collaboration, and networking with other Higher Education Institutions and other public and private funding organizations.

RPD is further directed by the following philosophy, vision, mission, and objectives.

Philosophy
It shall uphold the essential role of research in the scholastic pursuit of institutional development, knowledge, and, professional advancement in Manila Tytana Colleges. As a catalyst towards this end, it shall solicit the collective participation of the academic community in realizing a culture rooted on scholarly traditions that are excellent and values-enriching for all.

Vision
RPD envisions being the leading center of knowledge and enlightenment through research-based intensive endeavors.

Mission
RPD commits itself to foster a continuing search for knowledge and enlightenment through quality and relevant researches recognized locally and internationally undertaken by the academic community with research as a passion embedded at the heart of MTC’s culture.
