Manila Tytana Colleges, through the Guidance and Counseling Department under the Student Affairs and Services Directorate, reaffirms its commitment to student development through the annual Job Simulation Interview Activity—a key component of the final clearance process for graduating students under the Career Enhancement Program.
The Career Enhancement Program supports students as they transition from academic life to the workforce. It equips them with essential knowledge on job application, career decision-making, and navigating employment-related processes, such as securing government benefits. The program consists of two main components: a learning module and a simulated job interview.
Before the simulation, students attend preparatory lectures on résumé writing, professional attire, interview techniques, and pre-employment requirements. These sessions ensure that students approach the interview simulation with a well-rounded understanding of real-world expectations.
The simulation itself consists of two rounds of job interviews, designed to sharpen communication skills, build composure, and develop self-awareness. A key feature of the activity is the involvement of Tytana administrators as interviewers, providing authenticity and bridging academic learning with industry expectations. Between rounds, students receive direct feedback to help them refine their approach, delivery, and overall professionalism—including nonverbal elements like body language, pacing, and tone.
Participants are evaluated using a standardized rubric that assesses appearance, behavior, verbal communication, and résumé quality. This structured feedback helps them identify strengths and areas for improvement.
One participant, Ms. Una Yvonne E. Domantay, shared:
“It was a great experience for me. We usually read articles or watch videos online about interview tips, pero iba pa rin talaga kapag ikaw mismo ‘yung naka-experience. I learned a lot, and I now have a clearer picture of what to expect kapag nag-aapply na talaga sa mga jobs.”
She added, “I learned how to carry myself, avoid using filler words, and express my thoughts clearly,” emphasizing how the experience enhanced both her confidence and communication.
By engaging its internal leaders as evaluators, Tytana demonstrates a strong academe-industry synergy—ensuring that students are prepared to meet external standards even while still within the institution.
As a result, many Tytana graduates secure employment within months of graduation. Notable examples include:
- Ms. Shiela Anne Marie S. Lorenzo (BS Accountancy) – Program Associate at GT Foundation, Inc.
- Mr. Terrence Ivan J. Sarique (BS Nursing) – Animal Bite Clinic Nurse, General Trias, Cavite
- Mr. Blues Marshall H. Prospero (BSBA – Marketing Management) – Customer Service Associate, Amazon
- Ms. Jeanne Marie Velasco (BA Communication) – Social Media Strategist, Courtside Philippines / NYXSYS Philippines Inc.
- Ms. Monica Jayne Lahora (BSBA – Marketing Management) – Marketing Associate, Asia UOS Travel Corp
As the educational arm of the Metrobank Group, Manila Tytana Colleges continues to align its academic practices with workforce demands—ensuring that Titans are not only prepared to graduate, but prepared to succeed.
