The Manila Doctors College of Nursing (MDCON) offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a program designed to prepare students for the dynamic and evolving landscape of healthcare. Tytana graduates are equipped to become leaders in clinical practice, education, and research through the comprehensive training and preparation provided by the College.

Level II Accredited

The BS Nursing program of Tytana was granted a five-year re-accreditation Level II status by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) last October 2024, a recognition of Tytana’s consistent compliance with PAASCU’s quality standards in key areas such as instruction, faculty, research, student services, learning resources, and governance.

Over the years, Manila Doctors College of Nursing (MDCON) has carved its niche in nursing education by consistently producing topnotchers and posting above-average performance in the Nurse Licensure Exam (NLE). True to its vision of developing scholars and professionals for national and global endeavors, MDCON has achieved a 100% passing rate for first-time takers in the NLE for several consecutive years, with seventeen topnotchers since 2006. This reflects the College’s strong emphasis on both theoretical and practical learning. MDCON takes pride in its roster of competent and experienced faculty members and preceptors from partner institutions.

Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH) serves as the base hospital of the BS Nursing program of Manila Tytana Colleges, providing students with direct exposure to real-world clinical settings. Recognized for its quality healthcare services and affiliation with the Metrobank Group, MDH offers a comprehensive training environment where students apply theoretical knowledge, develop essential nursing competencies, and engage with patients under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals. This partnership supports the program’s commitment to producing practice-ready graduates.

MDH - Tytana Learning Resource Hub

Nurse Residency Program

To further strengthen the academe-industry partnership between Tytana and MDH, a seamless integration program is in place to support the employment of Tytana BS Nursing graduates through the Nurse Residency Program (NRP). Under the NRP, graduates are automatically hired as Clinical Nursing Associates (CNA) with a special starting salary rate. Upon passing the board exam, their role is automatically upgraded to Staff Nurse.

The program also provides financial assistance for Board Exam Review and deployment abroad.

Advanced Caregiving

Advanced Caregiving is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude of caregiving practitioners in accordance with industry standards. The CAREGIVING NC II qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide care and support to infants/toddlers, provide care and support to children, foster social, intellectual, creative, and emotional development of children, foster the physical development of children, provide care and support to elderly, provide care and support to people with special needs, maintain a healthy and safe environment, respond to an emergency, clean living room, dining room, bedrooms, toilet and bathroom, wash and iron clothes, linen, fabric, prepare hot and cold meals.

Manila Doctors College of Nursing Research Congress

The Manila Doctors College of Nursing has been celebrating research excellence for more than 16 years through its annual Nursing Research Congress, a platform that showcases the scholarly work of student and professional nurses. The event provides an avenue for presenting and disseminating research findings to the public, highlighting the capacity of emerging and experienced nurses to contribute scientific and philosophical insights to the nursing profession.

Clinical to Classroom Translation Program

The Clinical to Classroom (C2C) Translation Program is a seminar type of activity which aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Updates in the nursing practice, nursing administration, community, and nursing education are delivered through this program by selected experts, practitioners, and nursing luminaries
Whenever possible, senior high school (SHS) students are invited to attend and listen to lectures delivered by experts as resource speakers. This is to stimulate the interest of SHS students to the Nursing program.
