Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) is a four-year program meticulously designed to produce highly competent, ethical, and future-ready accounting professionals. While it offers rigorous preparation for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure exam, the program also opens pathways to a wide range of careers in management accounting, financial analysis, taxation, internal audit, government accounting, and information systems.

Anchored on the Tytana Academe-Industry Partnership Framework, the BSA curriculum blends strong foundational education with specialized coursework and hands-on industry training. In the first year, students are introduced to financial accounting and reporting, economics, operations management, communication, and general education. The second year deepens competencies in taxation, business law, IT applications, intermediate accounting, business ethics, and financial management. The third year emphasizes auditing, special transactions, accounting systems, and electives such as financial reporting updates and human behavior, along with research and strategic management. The final year includes a six-unit accounting internship with partner institutions and a ‘Synthesis’ course with CPA exam preparation, valuation, operations auditing, and non-profit accounting.

To strengthen licensure outcomes and industry readiness, the program implements annual stakeholder consultations, retention and qualifying exam policies, refresher classes per year level, integration with CPA review centers, and faculty development through BOA accreditation. The program also features practice room simulations, alumni mentoring, and action-research projects focused on CPALE performance and evolving industry needs.

Whether pursuing CPA licensure or choosing alternative accounting careers, BSA graduates of Tytana are prepared to contribute meaningfully to the public, private, and government sectors, or even academic and entrepreneurial ventures.
