Bachelor of Science in Psychology

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology program offers a comprehensive and integrative education in the scientific study of human behavior, preparing students for successful, professionally relevant careers in applied psychology. Accredited by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), the program underscores Tytana’s commitment to academic excellence and quality education.

Students receive thorough training in key areas such as clinical psychology, industrial-organizational psychology, special needs education, and counseling—grounded in evidence-based approaches and enriched by the principles of positive psychology. With a strong emphasis on cultural responsiveness through Filipino Psychology (Sikolohiyang Pilipino), the program remains aligned with internationally recognized psychological frameworks. This equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed for licensure and to make meaningful contributions to both local and global communities.

The BS Psychology program provides students with a wide array of practical exposures to complement their academic training. For guidance and counseling, students gain hands-on experience in various schools, colleges, universities, and Manila Doctors Hospital. Those specializing in special needs have opportunities to work in public elementary schools, including the Pasay City SPED Center. Clinical psychology trainees engage with private clinics and the National Center for Mental Health, while those focusing on industrial psychology gain real-world insights through placements at the Metrobank Group and other private companies. These diverse experiences prepare students to apply their knowledge effectively across multiple professional settings.
